Experience

Mr. Hawes is native Californian, however, was raised in Portland, Oregon area. He joined the firm in January 2011.

Upon graduation, Mr. Hawes established an English School in Moscow, Russia. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hawes worked for the Microsoft Corporation for several years.

Mr. Hawes initially worked as an intellectual property lawyer for the Boeing Company. His practice focuses on civil litigation. He has extensive experience in the representation of individuals and companies in Professional malpractice, products liability, toxic tort, construction defect and complex commercial litigation matters. In 2009, Mr. Hawes successfully defended the City of Tacoma in a three-week jury trial. He has successfully appealed and defended appeals to the Washington Court of Appeals. In 2004 and 2005 he was selected as a "Rising Star" by Washington Law & Politics Magazine.

Community Involvement
Mr. Hawes has served as youth athletics coach since 2005.
